Privacy Policy

Puzzle Nook keeps everything you do in the app on your own device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours that your results are sent to. This page mirrors, word for word in substance, the policy shown inside the app under Settings → Privacy Policy.

Effective date: 18 September 2026.

What the app stores

The app stores your onboarding answers (goals, focus areas, play style and session length), your app settings, each day's generated plan, and a record of every game you finish, the level, the rounds, accuracy, active time and the resulting score.

All of it is written to a local database on your device using Apple's SwiftData. It is covered by your device passcode and by whatever device backup you have chosen in iOS. We never receive a copy, because there is nowhere for it to go: the app has no server of its own.

What the app does not collect

There is no account system, so the app never asks for your name, email address, date of birth or contacts. It does not read your photos, location, health data, microphone or camera.

No analytics destination is configured in this app. The code has an internal event hook used during development, and in the shipping build it is wired to a sink that discards every event. Nothing is sent anywhere. There are no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, no profiling, no App Tracking Transparency prompt (because there is nothing to track), and no sale or sharing of personal data.

Subscriptions

The subscription is sold by Apple through the App Store and verified through RevenueCat, which provides the subscription SDK inside the app. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details, and the app never receives them.

RevenueCat identifies this installation with an anonymous identifier it generates on the device. It is not linked to your name or your Apple Account by us. To verify that a subscription is active, RevenueCat and Apple process purchase and receipt information along with the usual technical details of the request, such as device type, app version and country of the store.

Restore Purchases in Settings asks Apple and RevenueCat to check the Apple Account signed in on the device for an existing subscription. That is the only way the app can move a subscription to a new device.

Reminders

The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled by iOS on your device. Nothing about it leaves the device, and it contains no score or streak information. You can switch it off in Settings, or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings at any time.

Your copy, and deleting everything

Settings → Data lets you export a complete JSON copy of everything the app has stored about you, and share it wherever you like.

The same screen deletes everything on this device permanently: profile, settings, plans and every saved game. Deleting the app has the same effect. Neither cancels a subscription, only the App Store can do that.

Regional privacy rights

Because the app collects no personal data outside of the local device storage described above and shares nothing with us, there is no server-side dataset to correct, transfer or object to. If a right under a law such as the GDPR or a US state privacy law would apply to information the app does hold about you, the export and delete tools in Settings → Data are how you exercise it yourself, immediately, without waiting on us.

Children

The app is made for a general audience and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it holds none belonging to a child either.

Changes and contact

If a future version of the app starts collecting something, this policy is updated in the same release and the effective date above changes with it.
